• Diary of a Self-Help Dropout: Flirting With the 4-Hour Workweek by Chris Hardwick (Blog: Nerdist.com) at Wired.com. For a proud high-school drop out who's been on vacation for, hh I don't know, 4 years now-- this blog made me laugh and remind me, "Hey, I'm a freelancer too, and that's okay". Next thing to add to the "List of Things I Procrastinate On": Figuring out all my talents and which can make me money.
• Advertising from Australia to do what? Oh yeah! ATTACK NEW ZEALAND. Ah, I hope the place I've been dreaming of visiting since I realized other cultures around the world exist isn't colonized by the Aussies. Very funny ad.
• I have taken an interest in photography. Especially with the purchase of a Nikon D90(Phenomenal camera). It's a DSLR camera with 760HD video camera abilities also. It's amazing, I love it. To prove it's amazing, check out this video, and these photo's. My Flickr profile is also here, although it's quite bare right now. (Looking for people, things, and places to photograph so hit me up if you have idea's.)
• I finished Peace, Power, Righteousness: An Indigenous Manifesto by Taiaiake Alfred. Review to come soon, but in the mean time, I strongly recommend this to all indigenous folks who want some inspiration for creating change in your community or being an indigenous leader in the 21st century. Both will have deep questions and answers in the book.
• The Squamish Nation wants to be a partner in building a casino in our community of St'a7mes. What do you think my thoughts on this are? I created a facebook group to organize with my community for the upcoming leasing approval votes. More on this soon!
• Dave Pollard, whom I met this past summer at the art of hosting retreat on Bowen Island (I will read your book soon Dave!) through Chris Corrigan, wrote this wonderful three part piece, well, about the good stuff. Not Going To Happen is about, well, sex, drugs, and rock n' roll. In reality, it reminded me that I focus on other folks faults too much, and this makes it hard for me to love them. Ha! Isn't that an insight! It's really about relationships, the limiting beliefs we tell ourselves about relationships, and what life could be about should we choose to change our glassess. Read it: Part 1 - Part 2 - Part 3. For all my young friends especially: please read it!
• Israel has been trying to exterminate the Palestinian people for 60 years now. They launched another massive strike this past week. Come out to the Vancouver Rally for Gaza and say no to this war.
• Stickhandling his way through aboriginal politics says Globe and Mail about Squamish Nation collaborator Tewanee Joseph. Go ahead, read some garbage propaganda about the myth of Aboriginal participation in the 2010 Olympics and I'll reveal the reality in due time.

That should be good for all. If you went through all my links, you are a dear friend and deserve something in return. As for the rest of you, get back to being on "Winter Vacation", I know I ain't. 2 Years Vacation, going on 3. Back to work starting tomorrow for me.

• Watch French Street artist C215, Christian Guémy, bombs London with over 30 different stencils in as many hours. Very cool video on stencil and street art. Something about the street art movement I find so attractive. I compare it to finding a beautiful indigenous woman who's into her culture, loves her land, and wants an end to colonialism (We radical native dudes wish!...lol) What I mean is, in term of the art world, non-indigenous or indigenous, on the mainstream it can be quite pathetic. I find a lot of the values within the street art movement to be a easy step away from the natural response of art of the indigenous peoples in the Pacific Northwest. Except colonial grabbed it by the jugular and now you have galleries galor between Victoria, Vancouver, and Seattle. So I can't help but be attractive to the idea of art for the people, not for the money.

• Raj Patel is a London-born Indian activist, author, and academic. He's a pretty cool guy. I first seen and heard about him from one of my favorite TV-shows, The Hour (Viewable here). His writing and activism has been around food sovereignty, globalization, and "glrobal facism".

• I can't believe it took me this long, but I finally joined and understand del.icio.us. My page is here. I knew my friend Chris Corrigan used it, but it took this video to make me move. I'm glad I found it because I was getting swamped in links.

• Wiki's in Plain English - Video. Another great link from Chris Corrigan. He talks about "Why Wiki's Work" here. For movements, groups, communities, I completely think that wiki's are an amazing tool for collaborations. It's the heart of what the modern age of technology can bring us. Crossing geographic boundaries (I live on this side of the Province, you live on that side), it's a relatively simple tool once learned. I definitely want to learn more about creating my own wiki's so I can use this in projects I work on with other individuals.

• Shepard Fairey, a well known street artists who crossed over into the mainstream, successfully and still remains true to his core values. Anyways, I came across some photo's for a recent art show he did (click here). His website is here.

• Blip.tv is probably one of the most useful and coolest tools I've come a cross recently. It's nothing new for most of us (because if your reading a blog, I'll assume you know what youtube is.) It's a digital video sharing website, but more inline for episodic content. I will definitely be using this for a future project(s).

• Animoto is another digital media tool useful for slideshows, photo-movies, etc. It uses online technology to mix your photo's, with music, and create a dynamic slideshow. Where as media programs like iMovie or Windows Movie Maker would take hours to create something like this, Animoto does it in minutes, and all you have to do is upload some photos, and some songs. For premium services, it costs. This includes unlimited access and video creation. Free 30 second clips can be made also.
  

The idea for this column in my blog copied from my friend at Parking Lot. Esentially I dish out neat things I find out in the internet. There are a few links, idea's, video's, or whatevers, that don't need a long blog post about, but still worth checking out. It will show up ever so often when I gather enough cool links, projects, or anythings.

• Goodreads - Books are one of my favorite things in the world. I like books. I like people who like books. I like people who like to talk about books. Thus, I joined this right away. I'm here, so send me a friend request and we can talk books.
  
  
• Joesgoals - I'm not huge on goals, except small tiny measurable goals. I'm working on a lifestyle change in diet, sleep pattern, food intake cycle, and a few other things. I just picked up a book to monitor all of this so I can adjust or radicalize what needs to be done. I figure that "exercise" and "diet" shouldn't be look at just that. It's a lot better to look at it as a "lifestyle change", since that's what it is.
  
  
• wikiHow - As some of you may know, I'm a huge contributor on wikiepdia with Indigenous peoples of the Pacific Northwest Coast. I also cruise other wiki sites. This one, is quite fund. Lots of cool information and good resource if you ever need it.
  
  
• Pickel2Life - Literally the best thing that has helped me since I became a digital artist. I only know a little, and learning more, but this site is so damn cool for tutorials.
  
  
• Foot Cred - Just a cool video that's inspiring me to do something similar but about my people.
  
  
• Frozen Grand Central - I'm definitely inspired. This might actually go somewhere. ;)
  
  
• Unschooling @ Myspace - Myspace is sooooo 2006. But this site has a lot of good resources, on the net!
  
  
• Tame Iti and the Tuhoe Nation - The Kanienkehaka of Aotearoa? Watch the video at the end. (If only we greeted the Queen/Prime Minister/Arnold Swazineggar/Govornor General/etc. like that when they trespassed in my peoples land.
  
  
• i dyslexia heart - I just found out I'm part dyslexic. Does anyone have a pill so cure it? Oh, maybe I caught it from my dyslexic friend? (I'm kidding for those who don't know). Yeah so, I'm a little dyslexic. I always wondered why I my spelling was so funny looking.
