Civilized Liberated Yet?
The Matrix is older than you know. I prefer counting from the emergence of one integral anomaly to the emergence of the next, in which case this is the sixth version.- The Architect (Matrix:Reloaded)
As some of my readers may have noticed, I've updated the blog again. I kind of liked the design of the previous one, but disliked the colours. I like the cleaner, whiter, sleeker design here, although I was tempted to go with the traditional West Coast black and red. But, I went with white here.
The photo above is called Nch'kay. It means "Dirty Face" or "Grimy One" in my language. The mountain, along with Mt.Baker, were the safe havens during the flood.
Feedback is much appreciated. Thanks!

Do like the new design, very sleek and readable.
I am always amazed that every civilization has its own flood story. Some part the flood, some move above it, but don't they all build boats?

We have a few flood stories actually. And on my Kwakwaka'wakw side of my heritage, we also have flood stories. Except with the Namgis tribe, where I come from, we didn't go on canoes. My ancestors transformed into their supernatural self and went back to the bottom of the ocean, the sky, etc.
It is neat that everywhere has one.

I like the new design aswell, Dustin. It makes the site feel more mature and responsible, which, I gather from your writings lately, is a reflection of you. And all the better that you're giving some representation to your culture.
